A Quick Good Fortune Insight:   Autumn and the Thanksgiving Holiday are on the same wave-length. It is a time to review your past year and all you've experienced. In looking back, you find much to be thankful for. Setting aside a day for feasting with family and friends is a common tradition in every culture. Many such celebrations are around religious events and family history - such as birthdays and anniversaries. No matter the reason, this time of year is a time to reflect and to acknowledge all the good that has come your way.

Gratitude is a physical state
Ideas accumulate similar ideas - and from a small moment of feeling grateful, a whole flood of ideas will open to you. Feeling grateful is a resonance within you, heart centered, and very powerful. It releases dopamine and good-feeling chemicals into your body - and soon you are relaxed and happy. The Law of Attraction brings to you matching experiences. The more you find to be grateful for - the more good things appear all around you.

That process of acknowledging all of the good in your life is the beginning of a cascade of more to feel good about. The longer you can maintain the feeling - the more certain you can be that good experiences will continue.

Gratitude is a quality of happy people
Happiness is the relaxed, easy, natural state of feeling good - that everyone strives for. No matter what it is you are doing -you are doing it because you think it will make you feel better.Often that impulse is misguided from your upbringing, and you may not realize that the method you are using - doesn't work.

A child learns to repeat what they experience
Blame, judgment and criticism are feelings that every child experiences. A child learns from adults and then repeats them as they were taught. Those responses do discharge feelings of anger and helplessness, but they often continue to loop and repeat over and over. Blame and helplessness are two sides of the same coin. From the outside looking in - you see a victim, repeating the behavior that continues to trap them into the role of victim. 

From the inside it is a habit pattern that is hard to break. If you feel trapped in any situation - then this is likely the reason. Break free quickly using the power of gratitude. Stick to it long enough, and it will replace the situations you don't like, with more to feel grateful about.

Accepting Gratitude

Surprisingly most enjoy expressing gratitude and saying "thank you" - but when it comes their turn to be "thanked and appreciated" they feel embarrassed and cut this exchange off. The reason is simple - most kids were taught to say thank you. Few were appreciated nor did they have lots of opportunities to enjoy others adoring them. Not accepting appreciation often comes from feelings of not being worthy, or of low self-esteem.Take a breath, relax and train yourself to accept appreciation. Your future abundance depends on it.

Accept support from other people.
Abundance or wealth is a social concept. Money changes hands between people. If people are not appreciating who you are and what you offer, they are not likely to pay you either. Your success comes from others and accepting money. Money is a form of appreciation, or "worth" in exchange for what you offer.

Ask and receive or go without
Giving without receiving is like breathing out but never in. Are you unknowingly pushing support away? It comes from childhood experiences that you soon learn to believe that tell you that you don't deserve to be supported. You haven't "earned" it. The underlying thought is"You are not good enough."  Lies abound in our culture from well-meaning parents, teachers and religions. No matter the source - get off of what isn't working and switch to what does. Begin by uncovering the ideas you want to change.

Ask yourself these questions over the next week

1.) How do I stop people from supporting and appreciating me?


2.) How do I stop myself from asking for and accepting gratitude and support?


3.) What does it feel like when I do have support and appreciation?  


4.) When I give appreciation and gratitude to others, how do they receive it from me?


5.) Who is my best teacher for accepting support and appreciation?

Double your gratitude
The more grateful you are for others the sooner others will be grateful for you. Get the ball rolling with gratitude.  Pay attention to your responses over a week and as you notice, make changes. Simply telling yourself to relax and enjoy others gratitude works. It may take a few times of practice, but very soon you will enjoy it. Now you are sharing appreciation with another and that enhances it for both of you. The more friends you exchange with - the closer you are to living a happy life. Gratitude doubles your happiness when shared with friends and family.

Ask yourself Gratitude questions

The quality of the responses you get from life is all in the quality of the questions you ask.  If you are seeking solutions, gratitude and appreciation - you will find it.


1.)  Why is it that everyone is so grateful to me for who I am and what I offer?


2.)  Why is it that the more I enjoy appreciation, the more abundance I receive from others?


3.)  How come I'm so lucky and have so much to be grateful for?


4.)  Why do I enjoy sharing appreciation with my family and friends?


5.)  How come everything I am grateful for in life is doubled and tripled very quickly?


Accepting and allowing these feelings to enhance the quality of your life is a choice you make each time someone says, "thank you."

If you find accepting appreciation feels fearful and causes you anxiety - take time to relieve that stress. You cannot push through it - and trying to do so will backfire and you will resist all encounters with others around appreciation and thankfulness. Now you've discovered the culprit blocking your financial successtoo.
