Actress and serial home renovator Diane Keaton has bought a house in Pacific Palisades for $5.6 million, public records show.

The purchase is unusual for Keaton in that the home was recently built — in 2009 — and is Cape Cod-influenced, rather than the older Spanish style she usually favors. The 7,800-square-foot house features a family room, a wine room, a theater, a gym, two wet bars, an ocean-view roof deck, six bedrooms and nine bathrooms on three levels. Outdoor amenities include a swimming pool with spa, an outside living room and a fireplace.

Keaton, 66, won an Oscar for "Annie Hall" (1977). This year she stars in the film "Darling Companion" and "The Wedding," due for October release.

The property came on the market in March at $5.75 million.

David Kelmenson of Sotheby's Pacific Palisades office was the listing agent, and Aileen Comora and Paul Lester of the Agency in Beverly Hills represented Keaton, according to the Multiple Listing Service.
