Former Home of Groucho Marx for Sale — $6,995,000 | Zillow Blog - Real Estate Market Stats, Celebrity Real Estate, and Zillow News | Los Angeles Luxury Homes-Beverly Hills Homes-Realtor-Real Estate - http://www.ChristopheChoo.com

This Beverly Hills home of late Groucho Marx — perhaps the most well-known of the Marx Brothers for his quippy comebacks — is on the market for $6,995,000.

Marx died in 1977 at age 86, but, according to the LA Times, Marx’s home has been maintained by the same family for the last 50 years. The comedian’s initials are found carved into two places on the grounds — the driveway and near the pool. Broadcast journalist Edward R. Murrow reportedly interviewed Marx in this house in the ’50s.

This classic, Old Hollywood home is Spanish-style and sits on just over an acre and has 8 bedrooms and 6.5 baths and contains more than 6,000 sq ft of living space.
