The semi-annual Beverly Hills Art Show – Affaire In The Gardens welcomes a special exhibit curated by the Los Angeles Art Association on October 15 – 16, 2011 at Beverly Gardens. Artist Ya Ya Chou will create ‘Beluga’s Journey’, a faux underwater environment complete with whale balloon at the twice yearly art fair in Beverly Hills. The Los Angeles Art Association will also feature photographer and digital artist J.T. Burke and sculptor R. Matt at the Los Angeles Art Association booth.

This Fall’s exhibit focuses on three unique emerging artists. Ya Ya Chou has received critical acclaim for her work in sculpture, animation, painting as well as installation. Her work ranges from sculptures made from gummi bears, licorice lace, burnt toasts, package foods and found objects to installations in traditional media of paper, clay, glass and fabric. Artist J.T. Burke, whose work has been described as an ‘irresistible offering of pure escapism,’ has exhibited his works in Barcelona, London, Bristol, New York, Toronto, as well as across Southern California. Sculptor R. Matt’s body of work examines the physical world though an inventive approach that is both synthetic and resoundingly anthropomorphic.

Works by all three artists will be on view throughout the 2-day art event. Spanning four blocks, this free art fair, the largest public art event in the city of Beverly Hills will feature 250 vetted artists from across the nation showcasing an array of paintings, sculptures, photographs, jewelry, ceramics and traditional prints will participate in the show.
