Celebrate Earth Day at the Beverly Hills Farmers' Market - Beverly Hills, California 90210

Celebrate Earth Day at the Beverly Hills Farmers' Market

There will be special displays, recycling bins and activities for the whole family.

Stop by the Beverly Hills Farmers' Market between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 15 to celebrate Earth Day.

The city's Public Works Department is setting up displays about water conservation and management, and offering tips about energy efficiency. There will also be recycling booths where you can drop off used batteries and printer cartridges.

Free 20-pound bags of compost will be available while supplies last and emergency kits will be available for purchase.

Kids can enjoy a special booth just for them, where they will get to make pots out of newspapers and plant fava beans to take home and cultivate.

Everyone is invited to experience the mobile earthquake simulator.

Don't forget to buy some fresh goods from market vendors to help support local growers and farm-to-table fare.

Last year's Earth Day event attracted nearly 5,000 people, so come early. There is free parking available in the Civic Center parking garage.
