Most Luxurious Shopping Streets In The World - Of Course Rodeo Drive is #2

It’s that time of year when the shops bring out the tinsel, the days get shorter and the winter woollies come out. With Christmas just 9 weeks away and all the stores reminding us to purchase those all important gifts, we thought we’d take a look at some of the most luxurious shopping streets in the world. Just in case you fancied a change of scenery for your Christmas shopping this year, here’s a selection of our favourites…

Fifth Avenue in Manhattan is made for shopaholics. It’s a definite must during your stay in the Big Apple. New York shopping is an entirely different experience than shopping in another city, especially along this historical road. Fifth Avenue is located in the centre of Manhattan, and the best Fifth Avenue shopping takes place between 39th and 60th Street at NYC flagship stores, where you are sure to pick up a unique designer piece. Whether you are searching for the latest fashions, NY souvenirs, or useful housewares, New York shops on Fifth Avenue cater to every taste and budget.

Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills Los Angeles embodies all the glam of the big screen. Flagship locations for some of the most prestigious brands in the world are lined up, in what is regarded as one of the best places for luxury shopping in the world. Rodeo Drive has all the glittering elegance of classic high end fashion and is where a lot of Hollywood celebrities shop, so there is a chance you might bump into them while you shop. Even if you aren’t much of a shopper, there is so much to fill your vision it’s almost a museum or architectural experience. Rodeo Drive is paradise for all the fashion lovers out there!

In Tokyo, you cannot miss Ginza which is famous for being one of the fanciest shopping districts in the world. The Ginza is Tokyo’s most famous upmarket shopping, dining and entertainment district, featuring numerous department stores, boutiques, art galleries, restaurants, night clubs and cafes. The Ginza is one square meter of land in the district’s centre and is worth over ten million yen, making it one of the most expensive real estate in Japan. It is where you can find the infamous $10 cups of coffee and where virtually every leading brand name in fashion and cosmetics has a presence. A visit is more pleasant on a weekend afternoon, when the central Chuo Dori Street is closed off to prevent traffic and becomes a large pedestrian zone making it a very indulgent shopping street.

The amazing Champs Elysees in Paris is known as a very beautiful avenue, 70 meters wide the Champs Elysees run for 1910 meters in a straight line from Place de la Concorde to Arc de Triomphe. The Champs Elysees is the top Paris shopping district, many famous French and international brands have their flagship Paris store there. Fashion and cars are well represented, as the Champs Elysees is one of the most expensive avenues in the world, you won’t find many independent shops there. The iconic avenue and Paris scenery definitely merits a visit.

Lastly, for all of our UK customers we thought it was only fair to mention our very own luxury shopping destination. See real London life, as it happens here on the famous Oxford Street, Europe’s largest high street. For anyone staying in London a visit to bustling Oxford Street is a must. Oxford Street is probably best known for its large department stores, which include the branches of John Lewis, Selfridges and Debenhams. Many of the outlets located here are regarded as their respective organisation’s flagship store and as such are often used to host launches and special promotions, a magnet for celebrities. As a shopping experience Oxford Street is unsurpassed, and with over 300 shops from leading department stores and plenty of restaurants no one goes away disappointed.
