It looks like Lauren Conrad is trying to fully put her reality television days behind her by listing her home for $2.25 million on the Hollywood real estate market. Lauren Conrad’s home was where the hit TV show “The Hills” was filmed.
Conrad debuted on MTV’s show “Laguna Beach” which followed eight teens living in Orange County. MTV followed Conrad to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles with the successful show “The Hills.” Currently, Conrad has taken a break from her reality lifestyle, instead keeping busy designing clothing lines and launching a popular beauty and fashion site.
Conrad’s home is a gated 1920s Spanish-style estate with traditional courtyard entry and orange stucco walls. The 3,009-square-foot home has 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms and an additional detached guesthouse with bath. Purchased in 2008 for $2.36 million, the home was completely renovated and updated, perhaps by Conrad’s architect father, and includes refinished hardwood floors throughout and a custom kitchen with high stainless-steel appliances. The home also features much of it’s art-deco design with wrought-iron railings, original moldings and traditional Spanish floor tiles.
And if the new buyer happens to be a celebrity as well, reality television or otherwise, the home comes completely equipped with a state-of-the-art security system that includes 10 cameras and intercoms.
Although the name “Hollywood” makes most people think of celebrities and mansions, it’s neither the most expensive or exclusive neighborhood in L.A. Median Hollywood home values are currently at $416,300 compared to median Beverly Glen home values at $1,214,300 or Pacific Palisades home values which are a whopping $1,486,600.
