Seeks Volunteers

Volunteers needed from Sun, Dec 26 through Wed, Dec 29

The community-based Beverly Hills Rose Parade Committee is seeking volunteers to help decorate the City's first entry into the New Year's Day parade in more than 20 years. Helpers ages 12 and up are needed Dec. 26-29. Call (310) 385-0679 to volunteer. The float, themed "Beverly Hills -- City of Dreams Come True," will showcase the City before a television audience of more than 1 billion people!

City Hall, Other Offices Close Friday for Ten Days

Public Library Open Dec. 27-30

Beverly Hills City offices will be closed Dec.24 through Jan. 2 for the holidays and four days of employee furloughs. However, with the help of donations from AYSO Region 76-Beverly Hills and Friends of the Beverly Hills Public Library, the Library will remain open Dec. 27-30 with limited hours and services.

Every player and adult volunteer must register online. No other applications will be accepted. To register, please read the information contained on line, and then click on the links at the bottom for player or adult registration. Early registration fee is $200 per player. The deadline for early registration is January 1, 2011. The regular fee of $225 applies after January 1, 2011.

Experience the magic of the floats before they make their debut in the 2011 Rose Parade. Get a backstage glimpse of the floral floats in their final stages of preparation at any of our three locations. You will see a variety of fruit, seeds, bark, grasses and of course, flowers being applied to the floats by experienced professionals as well as hard working volunteers. Tickets: $10
