Larry King and friends celebrated the end of an era on CNN with a party at Spago in Beverly Hills after the last broadcast of "Larry King Live" on Thursday.
King was accompanied by wife Shawn and sons Chance and Cannon. The clan had appeared on the final show together -- this after King had said, in announcing his daily-TV retirement, that he wanted to spend more time with them.
After Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger declared it "Larry King Day" in California, the host had Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa as a party guest, broadcaster Lu Parker on his arm. Click the pic of the mayor and his date, above, to see more pictures from the red carpet.
Among the other guests: Natalie Cole, Jane Seymour, Jane Fonda, Debi Mazar, Cheryl Hines, Barbara Davis, Suzanne Somers and Alan Hamel, and George Maloof Jr. and his wife, Adrienne. TV hosts Wendy Williams, Leeza Gibbons, Mary Hart and Shaun Robinson made the scene, as did Julie Bowen and Eric Stonestreet of "Modern Family," and Dr. Drew Pinsky.
King will be back with specials on CNN. Piers Morgan takes over the 9 p.m. spot starting in January.
