People love their pets and many will go to extreme lengths to pamper them. None more so than a woman in England who has to be the most indulgent dog owner around after building the world's most expensive dog house for her two Great Danes. Apparently, the architecturally designed dog digs cost a half a million dollars and includes such modern day comforts as a flat screen TV, heated floors and a pool for the pooches.
When this doghouse was commissioned in 2008 it knocked of the previous holder of the title World's Most Expensive Dog house from Japan. The miniature canine palace, built for a Chihuahua or small terrier, was part of a sales gimmick for a Tokyo department store. Decorated with 7,600 Swarovski crystal beads its price tag, in comparison to the UK doghouse, seems a bargain now at $31,660.
