Beverly Hills to Commemorate Sept. 11 Anniversary Tuesday Evening
A ceremony is taking place at 7:30 p.m. at the city's 9/11 Memorial Garden. The public is invited to attend.
Beverly Hills will commemorate the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks with a wreath ceremony and musical performance Tuesday evening at the city's 9/11 Memorial Garden.
The event starts at 7:30 p.m. at 445 N. Rexford drive. The garden, situated at the northwest corner of North Rexford Drive and Burton Way, features a piece of wreckage from the World Trade Center.
Speakers at the ceremony will include Assemblyman Mike Feuer and Mayor William Brien. Singer Chris Mann of The Voice will perform.
North Rexford Drive will be closed in front of City Hall. Parking is available in the City Library lot (enter through the Civic Center Drive entrance) or the 450 N. Crescent Drive structure.
Due to the special event, the City Council study session has been moved up to 1 p.m. Tuesday, with the formal meeting taking place at 4 p.m.
