The Bateman family has a new home!

The actor recently dished to Howard Stern about the high and lows of his career and how – after TV and film roles dried up in the ‘90s and he mismanaged his money – he even fell into financial trouble. Thanks to his comeback with fan favorite TV show “Arrested Development” and leads in flicks like “Horrible Bosses,” and the upcoming “Identity Thief,” those days are over. And in case you need proof, well, the 44-year-old just purchased a $3 million Beverly Hills pad … that used to belong to Ernest Borgnine.

According to real estate website Zillow, after legendary actor Borgnine (who owned the home for a whopping 60 years) died last summer, the estate listed the house for $3.395 million in September.

Bateman and wife Amanda Anka certainly have their work cut out for them. The six-bedroom home hasn’t been updated in decades (see pics), so chances are the couple will want to make some changes before they move in with their two daughters. (First order of business: tackling those “trees” in the dining room and that blue carpeting on the stairs.)

The super-private and gated home is situated on a half acre above Mulholland Drive, was built in 1938, and includes plenty of old-school classic elements, like a paneled library, study, formal dining room, and his-and-her dressing rooms. Outside, there’s an upper balcony, covered patio, enclosed gazebo, and, of course, large swimming pool.

The estate also comes with a 1-bedroom guest house, which means sister Justine can stay over any time she wants!
