Los Angeles is one of the most pet-friendly and pet-obsessed cities across the country. Angelenos love their furry and feathered friends, and they are considered true blue members of the family. When out-of-town trips come up, and the little guys cannot tag along, owners have to find somewhere to safely board their loved ones. For those who only want the best for their pets, here are some of L.A.’s top luxury pet care facilities.

Sun Valley, CA 91352

Paradise Ranch Resort boasts that it is the first licensed, cage-free boarding facility for dogs in the country, which is quite an accomplishment in this ever-evolving industry. Dogs live in bedrooms with their own beds of course, constantly surrounded by other doggie friends and attentive staff day and night. During the day, dogs run and romp through the grass, over bridges and into pools and fountains surrounding the resort. Naps in the sun or inside air-conditioned rooms are welcomed and encouraged. Private swim and boogie boarding lessons, massages and more are available as well. Rates are $65 a night or $55 a night for members with discounts for multiple dogs. If daycare is all you need, the cost is $35 a day. Certain special activities are available for additional cost. If you want to survey the land before dropping off your pet, check out the Paradise Ranch Resort’s public webcam for a sneak peek.

Three outdoor dog parks are perfect for running about and enjoying summer days, and the spa center is just the place for a bath, massage, ‘pawdicures’ and aromatherapy. Too busy to do a drop-off for the day or weekend? D Pet will send a sophisticated, luxury car for your pet to ensure a level of convenience that cannot be beat. Suite rates start at $65 per night, up to $220 per night, and day care rates start at $35 for a half day.

Each dog has its own private sleeping area and 24/7 care for overnight stays. Day care services includes walks, nap, snack times and three meals if you so choose. For no cost at all, join the Fitdog Runners Club on weekends to meet staff members and play with other dogs. Day rates range from $10 per hour or up to $42 for a full day. Inquire about full month deals, multiple dog discounts and membership rates. If you have Valentine’s Day plans this year, bring in your pup after 5 p.m. on Feb. 14, and for just $49, treat him to an overnight stay complete with an aromatic bath and nighttime treat.
