There won't be any more Elvis spottings around Hidden Hills, Calif. The King's daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, has sold her ranch home in the gated Los Angeles community for $5 million. It had been listed at $6,995,000.
The princess of rock'n'roll, singer Lisa is the only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley. She said she grew tired of Los Angeles life and has moved her family to the civility of Great Britain, buying a home last summer near the home of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard in East Grinstead, West Sussex. The 42-year-old Presley, who is a Scientologist, is working on her third album in London.
Lisa was married briefly to Michael Jackson, and encouraged fans on MySpace to put sunflowers on the Gloved One's gravesite. To this day, the loyal continue to dress the grave in sunflowers. She was also married briefly to actor Nic Cage, who is known to be a major Elvis fan. Cage is the only non-family member to ever get inside Elvis'bedroom at Graceland. Lisa became sole heir of Graceland in 1980 after her grandparents' deaths. Keough had been living for awhile in the one-bedroom guest house; the two remained close friends after their divorce. The guest house has a studio with sound booth.
The main home and guest house combined have about 8,000 square feet of living space.
Hidden Hills is a gated equestrian community in the San Fernando Valley that literally sits astride the busy 101 Freeway. The Kardashian compound is there and the community has been a draw for an odd assortment of celebrities, including Ozzie and Sharon Osbourne who chose to live here instead of their Malibu beachfront home. Denise Richards filmed her reality TV show from her house here. And Sinbad went bankrupt here. Hidden Hills' appeal doesn't seem to extend to A-Listers, who prefer to either be in Malibu or the Beverly Hills-Bel-Air corridor where the homes are more stately, one-of-a-kind and closer in to the action.
