Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has listed her Beverly Hills estate for sale.

The asking price is "available upon request" on the Westside Estate Agency website, but local real estate industry sources place it at $49 million.

The four-structure compound was formed starting in 2007 through three property purchases on the same street. Among the sellers was Max Mutchnick, co-creator of the TV series "Will & Grace" (1998-2006), who sold his house for $29 million.

The 15,000 square feet of interior space in the compound include a 9,200-square-foot main house, two guesthouses and an additional three-bedroom house that can be used as office space or staff quarters. They sit on 3 gated acres with outdoor living spaces, a swimming pool, extensive gardens and koi ponds.

DeGeneres married actress Portia De Rossi in a garden wedding at the compound in 2008.

The comedian, 53, whose daytime show bears her name, has won 12 Emmys. De Rossi, 38, starred in the TV series "Better Off Ted" (2009-10) and "Arrested Development" (2003-06) and guest starred on "Nip/Tuck" (2007-09).

DeGeneres did not respond to a request for comment.

Kurt Rappaport of Westside Estate Agency, Beverly Hills, is the listing agent, according to the company website.

Country compound struck a chord

Singer-songwriter Taylor Swift has bought a Beverly Hills-area compound for more than $3.5 million that's, fittingly, a little bit country.

On close to 1.5 acres, the three-bedroom, 31/2-bathroom main house sits behind gates at the end of a long driveway. It has a countryside vibe with dormer windows, vine-covered arbors, stone paths and wood fencing. The first-floor master suite has dual bathrooms and walk-in closets. French doors open to the grounds, which include a patio with an outdoor fireplace off the back of the house and a lighted paddle tennis court. The guesthouse contains a high-ceilinged living room with a fireplace, a kitchen, one bedroom and a bathroom.

Swift, 21, won four Grammys for her work on the album "Fearless" and song "White Horse" last year. She has appeared on "Dancing With the Stars" (2009-10) and "American Idol" (2008). The country performer raised $750,000 for tornado victims at a recent benefit concert in Nashville.

She declined to comment on her purchase.

The listing agents were H. Blair Chang and Billy Rose at Prudential, Beverly Hills, and Delphine Mann and Kathy Marshall at Coldwell Banker, Beverly Hills North, according to the Multiple Listing Service. Chris Corkum of Coldwell Banker, Los Feliz, represented Swift.

Less sand in producer's future?

Film and television producer Brian Grazer has listed his Malibu Colony beach house for $19.5 million.

Designed for entertaining, the Mediterranean-style home has a deck off the living room and breakfast room. The three-story house has more than 6,000 square feet of living space, including five bedrooms and eight bathrooms. An indoor swimming pool with spa is adjacent to the two-car attached garage. A gym sits by the beach deck.

Grazer, 59, co-founded Imagine Entertainment with Ron Howard. He won an Oscar for "A Beautiful Mind" (2001) and is a producer for the sci-fi Western "Cowboys & Aliens" to be released in July. He has been an executive producer for TV series, including "Friday Night Lights" (2006-present) and "Lie to Me" (2009-present).

Public records show Grazer bought the oceanfront house in 2003 for $13.5 million.
