Grammy winning singer Christina Aguilera is rumored to have sold her 6,500 square foot home in the Hollywood Hills at a loss, as reported by the celebrity real estate website RealEstalker. The actress purchased the four bed bedroom and seven bath house for $5 million in April 2003. It has been on the market since April 2008 and sold for more than $3 million dollars less than its original listing price of $7.995 million
The singer oversaw extensive remodeling projects, including a complete redesign by high-end spec home designer Steve Hermann that reportedly cost Aguilera upwards of $346,185.
Beautiful views that span all the way from Downtown to the Pacific Ocean make the home one of the most coveted on the Bird Streets. Taking advantage of its prime location, the house boasts walls of glass that open to a large pool and a 12 person spa with an outdoor fireplace. Other amenities include a professional screening room and recording studio.
Aguilera also has another prime piece of real estate on the market: her 10,000 square foot Mediterranean mansion in Beverly Hills that she shared with her husband, music industry executive Jordan Bratman. The six bedroom, nine bathroom house has been on the market since March 2011 and has an asking price of $13,500,000. The couple, who have a two-year-old son, divorced in October 2010.
The sale of the Sunset Strip home was managed by listing agent Drew Fenton of Hilton & Hyland. The identity of the buyer has not been determined.
