DC Real Housewife Michaele Salahi Rents in Beverly Hills
Apparently Washington D.C. doesn’t have enough star-power for Michaele and Tareq Salahi. The fame-driven couple just picked up a Beverly Hills rental house for $20,000 a month.
The white Colonial looks remarkably similar to another white house they crashed in 2009. Although the Salahis first had their dose of fame on The Real Housewives of Washington D.C., they became a household name when they went to President Obama’s first state dinner at the White House in November 2009, apparently uninvited.
Since then the two have still sought the spotlight with Michaele attempting to get on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew and rumors of another reality TV show in the works.
According to TMZ, the couple decided that relocating to Beverly Hills is a necessary move in their strategy to climb the celebrity ladder. Rather than spending a few million to buy a home— median Beverly Hills home values are $1,890,200— they are leasing a seven-figure property. The Salahi’s new home holds a Zestimate value just under $3 million.
Built in 1948, the white house look-a-like has 5,500 square feet of living space on a nearly half-acre lot. With 6 bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms, the home is large enough for the Salahis and their soon-to-be first child— according to reports, the couple is actively looking for a surrogate to carry the baby.
The estate is “great for entertaining,” the listing description claims and is “impeccably finished down to the linens.” The property also features a circular driveway, maid’s quarters, butler’s pantry, large pool with waterfall, and guest house. And if the Salahis want to host their own state dinner, the formal dining room is “fit for heads of state.”
