Farrah Fawcett burst onto the scene as one of the original Angels on the hit 1970’s TV series “Charlie’s Angels.” Though she left the series after the first season, making occasional appearances in later seasons, Fawcett’s smile, blonde hair, and infamous poster in a red bathing suit rendered her an international sex symbol and pop culture icon. Fawcett’s iconic 1976 poster broke sales records across the country and, with over 12 million copies sold, is known as the best-selling pin-up poster of all time.
Born in Texas, Fawcett moved to Hollywood in 1968 and lived in California up until her death from cancer in 2009. She was 62. Her last residence, which she shared with long-time partner Ryan O’Neal, was a fourteenth-floor condo in LA’s Wilshire building. That 2-bedroom unit just hit the Los Angeles real estate market last week with an asking price of $1,885,000.
