Believe all the hype – you aren’t going to get Chinese food any better than what you’ll find at Mr. Chow Beverly Hills. Executive Chef Pui Lam Tsang and Yi Jia Qian are pure geniuses, not to mention the fact that there’s the bloody funny barman Patrick for entertainment, the serviceable Tamiko up front and the heat water Gaspare complete with white jacket.

But let’s talk about the food. Mr. Chow has been an international institution since 1968 and celebrities congregate here not just because there’s always a crew of paparazzi outside the front steps of its Beverly Hills, New York, Miami or London locations (with a Las Vegas location in the works), but because the food is just too good to pass up. Throw your special dietary needs out the door, Mr. Chow is celebrated for its dedicated and authentic Chinese cuisine featuring original recipes and modern takes on Beijing masterpieces – turns out the famous know what’s up.

If you’re attracted to this place for its association to celebrities, get out. Comparable chic to any other Los Angeles luxury restaurant, the food is what will knock you out – not it’s celebrity clientele. With three decades of ingenious prestige behind it, Mr. Chow has been dedicated to the man behind it; Michael Chow, with wife Eva, created an unconventional approach to Chinese dining, adding glitz and glamour to items like the crispy duck, Beijing duck, Mr. Chow noodles and ma mignon.

Mr. Chow: More than Just a Celebrity Destination in Beverly Hills.

This place has been "The" destination for dinner for over 3 decades, I know this personally as I have been a customer for 25 years. I love this place from every aspect, the food is beyond delicious, the crowd is the who's who of Beverly Hills and the West Coast, although whenever we travel to Japan, New York or London, we go to Mr. Chow in those cities too.

Most of the waiters and staff have been there for as long as I can remember and it is so nice to walk in and be greeted by name and to be treated like royalty.

Quick tip, make sure not to go too early for dinner, the tourist generally go between 6-7 as that is the only reservation they can get, the known locals and celebrities usually go for dinner starting at 8:30-9:00 PM.

Great to people watch as you may be sitting next to anyone from Madonna, President Clinton, Rod Stewart and just about any other major celebrity you can think of. It is the who's who place to go!
