Actress Cheryl Hines is most widely recognized as Larry David’s wife, Cheryl David, on HBO’s quirky comedy series “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” a role she received an Emmy nomination for in 2006. Another exciting career milestone for Hines was her directorial debut at the Tribeca Film Festival with Meg Ryan and Timothy Hutton starring in her film, “Serious Moonlight.”
While her career is soaring, life on the home front is doing quite the opposite. In 2010, Hines and now ex-hubby Paul Young, filed for divorce after nearly 8 years of marriage. Almost in sync with the divorce filings, the couple’s Brentwood estate hit the market with an asking price of $4,249,000. Seven months and two price cuts later, Hines is still awaiting buyers for her 4,900-sq ft home, which she purchased with Young for $4,125,000 in June 2005. According to Zillow Real Estate Market Reports, 22.8 percent of Brentwood listings received a price cut in the last 30 days.
Currently listed for $3,750,000 — 11.7 percent below the original asking price — Hines’ Brentwood home is a “Cape Cod inspired” estate situated on two-thirds of an acre with a gated drive and stone paved motor court. The recently renovated home consists of 6 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms which, according to the listing information, include maid’s quarters and a detached guest house with a private kitchen, laundry room, and bathroom. Additional amenities include a gourmet eat-in kitchen, three fireplaces, oversized master suite with a sauna, spa tub and dual walk-in closets, a security system, and a spacious backyard with mature foliage and swimming pool.
